What Is 2Klip?
2Klip is a mobile game about real places near you. Read a clue, tap the place on the map, see how close you got, and earn BUK2 you can swap for airtime, data and vouchers.
2Klip is a mobile game about real places near you. You read a clue, find the place on the map in front of you by tapping where you think it is, then see how close you got.
The game is pronounced “two klip”, and you play it on your phone at 2klip.com.
There are two kinds of games in 2Klip:
- Pin It area games. Find a place on a map of your area, with a regular entry into a big prize draw.
- Product games. Answer questions about the products shown to you in each round.
When you sign up for a free account, you automatically earn BUK2 points in your 2Klip wallet. BUK2 are our reward points, and you can swap them daily for airtime, data, electricity or grocery store vouchers.
You know your area better than any computer does. Put it on the map and earn while you are at it.
Why 2Klip, and where does it fit into the big picture? Each time you play, you share a bit of what you know about your area: the products you prefer, what you want to buy, and how you shop. This helps private and public organisations understand real neighbourhoods.
How do you play Pin It?
Pin It is a map game. You find a place from a clue, and the closer you get, the more points you score. Practice is free, and you do not need an account to start.
Here is how one round works:
- Pick your area. Choose a part of town, like Khayelitsha or the Foreshore.
- Read the clue. It names a place and often shows a clue in text. Press Find when you are ready.
- Find the place on the map. Our little colourful friends sit on the map, each marking a possible spot. Tap the one you think is closest to the place.
- See your score. The closer you are, the more points you get.
- Watch the clock. Each round gives you 30 to 60 seconds.
Good to know: Pin It practice points are just for fun. They are not money, and they are not BUK2.
Tip: Start with an area you know well, like the streets near your home or school. Then send the game to a friend and see who gets closer. You can also play the multiplayer version against your friends in real time.
How do the product games work?
Product games are quick rounds where you tap the products you would really buy. There is no right or wrong answer, just your honest choice.
Each game uses a set of real products from local shops. One set might be airtime, data and electricity. Another might be sunscreen for summer.
Here is how to play:
- Sign in. Product games need a free account.
- Pick a game. Open the reward games list.
- Make your choices. A round is about 12 quick taps.
- Finish the round. Only finished rounds count.
- Check your reward. Some finishers get BUK2. Each game shows how much it pays before you start.
Good to know: Not every finisher gets BUK2. A finished round gives you a chance to win, not a sure win.
What are BUK2 rewards?
BUK2 are 2Klip’s reward points. You earn them by playing, and you spend them in the 2Klip Shop on things like airtime, data, electricity and vouchers.
How do you earn BUK2?
Finish reward games (the product games) for a chance to win BUK2.
What is BUK2 worth?
Every 10 BUK2 is worth R1 of airtime. The smallest swap is 20 BUK2.

Open the Shop. Pick a reward, check its BUK2 price, then confirm. Your reward shows up in your Inbox.
